Driveways, Walkways & Front Entries
Circular Drive & Garden Court
A looping paver drive shaped around a long garden island, with a geometric stepping path creating a direct route to the front entry.
Project Focus
A garden-centered arrival
The planted island gives the circular drive a strong center, while the stepping path adds a smaller pedestrian scale within the larger arrival space.
The Design Challenge
Preserve the garden inside the drive.
A long loop drive needs clear visual edges and a comfortable walking route without allowing the vehicle surface to overwhelm the landscape.
The Approach
Separate vehicle and foot traffic with distinct paving cues.
Contrasting perimeter bands define the drive, and a sequence of square paver pads crosses the garden on a direct line to the entry.
The Finished Result
An arrival that moves at two scales.
The finished front yard balances vehicle access, planting, and pedestrian movement in one calm, connected setting.
Walk Through The Details
Trace the drive around the planted island.
